God is our Valentine...

So I got this "letter" in the mail on Valentine's Day and thought I would share it because I thought it was really neat.

My Eternal Bride,

I want to reveal a sacred secret to you, My beloved. Although I am your God, I am also your eternal Husband. I will come soon to carry you over the threshold into eternity. My desire is to lift the veil from your eyes that you might see who you really are, My Princess. You are so beautiful to me. When I gaze at you, I see a treasure ready to be discovered and a bride ready to be loved. When I look at you...I love what I see. I am the Lover of your soul, I long to get close enough to give you a glimpse of My eternal love for you. If you will seek me with all your heart, I will reveal Myself to you in extraordinary ways. If you will come before Me and ask, I will give you a new hope in your heart that will change your view of Me, of yourself, and of the world around you forever.

Love,
Your Creator and Husband

"For your royal husband delights in your beauty; honor Him, for He is your Lord." Psalm 45:11

So I thought this was really awesome! It really put Valentine's Day into a different perspective than what we're used to. Usually we think of Valentine's Day as being a day to show your love and affection to that significant other, but it's also seen as being "Singles Awareness Day" for those who don't have that special person. I was always left in that category until this year. This year was the first year where it was no longer a day to be miserable on. After reading this letter, it really clicked with me that GOD is our Valentine. God loves us with so much passion that we cannot even fathom the depths of His never-ending love. He pursues us and calls us beautiful in His image. Who doesn't want to be pursued?! Especially girls...I know that girls love being pursued =) God made us all unique and beautiful....just beautiful. Love has really stuck out to me these past couple weeks just because the word is such a complex term. I love the word "love" which is strange saying, but I really do!! I can't even imagine what all even goes into love! It's so awesome! Sorry for my rants about love, but I "love" that God can love with such a depth that we can't even understand it. So incredibly awesome =) So yes, I hope you all can feel the love of God today because it is the most wonderful feeling.
